Velen van jullie denken waarschijnlijk....'Dubai, wat moeten we daarvan denken?'...Is het een bezoek waard en is het niet erg nieuw allemaal...?

Dubai is natuurlijk erg nieuw en heeft vele hoge glimmende torens, shoppingmalls en 5 sterren hotels maar ook een ouder authentiek gedeelte.

50 jaar geleden stond Dubai nog niet op de kaart omdat het een onbeduidend dorpje was. Dat dorpje wat ongeveer 50 jaar geleden is ontstaan is echter wel de moeite van het bekijken waard. Hier vind je het oorspronkelijke Dubai in de wijk Bastakya. Een mooi contrast met de overdadige nieuwbouw.
In Bastakya vind je mooie oude straatjes met een mooie moskee, het XVA Art hotel met daarin een cafe, restaurant en shop, galeries en sfeervolle restaurants en het prachtige Arabian Tea house Cafe.

In het Arabian Tea House kun je terecht voor vele soorten thee, een kopje koffie en voor heerlijke Arabische hapjes.Het theehuis heeft een mooie binnenplaats met bougainville en witte lakens geven de nodige schaduw op deze mooie schaduwrijke binnenplaats.

Even verder loop je naar de 'Creek' in het oude Deira aan de rivier. Hier vind je de oude Souk met vele kleine shops met mooie Arabische souveniers en accessoires als slofjes, sjaals, zijden stoffen en meer....

Aan het einde van de straatjes waarin de Souk zich bevind kan je met een bootje voor slechts 1 Dirham oversteken naar de overkant om vervolgens naar de Spice market te gaan of naar de Gold Souk. Het is ook mogelijk een boottochtje van een half uur of langer te maken over de rivier.

The Creek, Dubai river

Perivolas Hotel resort, Santorini, Greece

While going through some summer holiday destinations, I got inspired by Greece and saw this beautifully located and interior decorated Perivolas hotel on the island Santorini. 

Perivolas hotel is located in Oia. Oia is a pittoresque village in the north of Santorini and is known for its pastel coloured houses build up against the rocks and for its fantastic sunsets...

Un appartement Parisienne

On Marie Claire Maison I spotted this small, cosy and 'arty'  Parisien appartment. I love the eclectic style of art in the apartment combined with the colorfull pastel cushions and accessories. The brown color on the bedroom wall gives a warm and kind of barok feeling that I adore in combination with the painting and colorfull badlinens.

Today I discovered plumprettysugar, a very inspirational blog with very beautiful photos, portraits and interior photos. I chosed these interior photos to show on my blog, because they are so breezy and give a feeling of summer and warmth. all these rooms are very light, cool yet warm.

Inspired by the color blue...

Now spring is on it's way, I feel like giving my home a new boost with new colors and new accessories.. ..Today I found this house on bolig magasinet. I'am totally inspired by the lightness in this house and by the aqua blue color on the wall....This color gives me a feeling of summer and seabreeze  in the house....Combined with the lamp, the accessories and vintage chair, this house is very serene and just perfect to me....
